Critchley Cup 1st round

In a 20 over cup match Swinbrook (92 – 5) defeated Eynsham (50 – 7) by 42 runs.

Swinbrook batted first and an opening partnership of 45 runs soon had Eynsham reeling. However some tighter bowling and fielding restricted Swinbrook to 38 runs off the last 10 overs. Fielding highlights included a direct throw run-out by Tom Ford and a superb catch by Dominic Coe. The wicket takers for Eynsham were Alex Howells (1 – 7), Ben Stratford (1 – 10) and Tom Ford (1 – 16).

The Eynsham batting never really got going, Dominic Coe was the only batsmen to get into double figures with a good innings of 20 n.o.

Eynsham will now go into the Plate competition where they will play either Aston Rowant or Hook Norton.
