In a league match Eynsham defeated Oxford Downs by 36 runs.

Downs won the toss and put Eynsham into bat. Runs came freely to the batsmen and Christian Drury (18) and Fin Bibby (9) put on 40 for the first wicket in 8 overs. Dominic Coe (17), Alex Howells (9) and Tom Ford (8) hot some fine shots to allow Eynsham to finish on 111 for 8 the highest score of the season. Downs gave us 43 extras in the innings.

An injury to Michael Barker when batting necessitated changes in the bowling order. Tight bowling and good fielding was what was needed and Eynsham got off to a good start with Christian Drury (0-6) and Tom Ford (0-15) restricting Downs to 21 for 0 off the first 8 overs. This put pressure on the Downs batsmen and wickets fell as risks were taken. Dominic Coe bowled beautifully to take 3-11 and Liam Rainbow enticed the batsmen into all sorts of strange strokes to take 4-17. Downs finally finished their innings on 75 for 8.

This was a fine victory to end the season.
